After the water flows into the water meter, it enters the measuring mechanism through the lower inlet holes of the impeller housing, driving the rotation of the impeller. The water then exits through the upper outlet holes of the impeller housing. The speed of the impeller is directly proportional to the flow rate of the water. The rotation of the impeller is transmitted via a reduction gear to the indicator mechanism, which records the total amount of water that has flowed through the meter.
